Norma Fay is a classically trained violinist who mainly played at church over the last fifteen years. About three years ago, she became interested in Celtic music and BRAVELY asked permission to play a bit of back-up fiddle for Mulligan Stew in a local coffeehouse gig. Permission granted, she played with them over the summer and then also started hiding in the background of an open session at the Patriot and Loyalist (eeek--no sheet music allowed!), where she met up with Deb and Larry. In about six months, she was totally sold on session fiddle style. She now plays regularly at the Cheshire Cat Brewpub on Thursdays, as well as the occasional wedding or other gig. She teaches music in Englewood Public Schools and teaches private violin lessons, as well.
